Chocolate Macaroons


These delicious treats are super easy and require the help of a bowl and a spoon.....and make sure you lick the spoon when you finish! Always remember one tip when using cacao - use equal parts of a sweetener since cacao is bitter.




2 cups coconut flakes
1/4 cup cacao
1/4 cup maple syrup or raw honey
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/4 tsp. sea salt

Combine all ingredients. Use a mini ice cream scooper to scoop one inch balls on a piece of wax paper and freeze for 30 minutes. You can also dehydrate these for 4-5 hours. Dehydrating tends to bind the flavors together more. Enjoy these delicious little treats!
